Mum no longer around to discuss with

As per the title, I would usually have talked to my mum about these things. I'm nearly 45 and all over the place!
DH doesn't understand (he has had brain damage - front temporal lobe issues so behaviour isn't what it should be). My emotions are varied and my monthly has been regular, although now it's starting to get a day or two later than my app says I should start. I'm having extra marital relationships as I'm so horny (DH doesn't do it for me anymore). I'm waking up hungry and always tired. My last blood test the GP advised it wasn't menopause, but I don't know if maybe it's peri instead?
I just need someone to talk to that actually has been through it (not his family as I can't talk to them in that way).

Whether it is menopause or not it is no excuse for "extra marital relationships".

But yes, I have had several GP hormone checks which say it isn't menopause/peri, but it clearly is - mid 50s, periods are every 6-7 months now and all the usual menopause/peri symptoms.

There’s a lot of experience on this board so talk to us. Women who have had every possibly symptom, very knowledgable women who know about HRT, etc.

DH not doing it for you might be a whole separate issue though! But no judgement from me on how you live your life - no one walks in your shoes OP. And menopause can be a time where we reevaluate the second half of our lives.

Thanks guys
Maybe that is what it's all been about for me. Since mum died October 2020 I've been a different person and trying to get back to pre-covid ways but also like you say, re-evaluating the next part of my life. Hadn't thought of it like that.
