Hi I need some help please I'm 41 and for the last 3 months my periods have come at 23.21.20 days I've just recently had a smear so no results yet I'm freaking out as I have health anxiety I keep thinking the worse like cervical cancer but could it be premenopause

It could be that yes, I started getting symptoms before I was 40. It is early for the normal menopause range, but it does happen.

Perhaps mention it to your doctor to put your mind at rest. If they think you need any tests, they will arrange it.

Do you need to be keeping track of your cycle length like this or is that the health anxiety?

Ah ok. Well I suppose if you've found short cycles you'll need to get it checked out then. It could certainly be perimenopause, mine started getting shorter from about 40 on.
