Peri, HRT, Testosterone and hair loss

Can anyone help I'm so worried.

I went on hrt a couple of years ago for peri symptoms and it's been pretty good. I still had lots of brain fog and no libido so was proscribed testogel.

I've been on it for three weeks and already I feel brighter and more "on it". It's fantastic.

The problem is my hair. It's shedding so badly and is getting really thin. Can the testosterone cause this? Has anyone else had real problems in peri or menopause with hair loss. It's so distressing. Any tips or help would be most welcome.

Thanks.

I too recently started on testogel; it's been brilliant!

Could low iron be the cause for your hair loss? I loosely recall seeing a post about ferritin levels needing to be 70+ to reduce hair loss but don't quote me on that.
