Hi all, due to start utrogestan tonight. I know it says to take on an empty stomach, can I still drink water, as get thirsty during nighttime. I’m also worrying about the dizziness, is this bad? As it will make my anxiety through the roof xx

For ease, these applicators are useful.
(others are the wrong size to hold the Utrogestan)

Have you used them? I have loads as I was given them (well, I paid for them) when I had 200mgs capsules. They work with the 200mgs but the 100mgs are so mall that they don't come up to the top of the 'cup' and when you push the plunger they are still in the cup.

If they work for you, great, but they don't for me (even putting 2 capsules in at the same time.)

I have boxes of spare utrogestan applicators happy to send to anyone? I wash and reuse as I am doing with the cream applicator too

Yes they worked perfectly for me for the Utrogestan 100mg (Besins Healthcare version)

(Just waiting delivery now to restart them after trying patches - the effects of those seem too subtle - despite being the same dosage).

(I always wanted to thank you Jingling, you were so very helpful with sensible advice here last summer when I had an unexpected very postmenopausal bleeding - all resolved)

i Love my utrogestan days as I sleep so well.. I take it at bedtime and try not to eat for two hours before , but sometimes it’s been more like an hour and I haven’t noticed any bad effects.

I guess it shows how different we all are! So you don't find the capsule gets stuck?
Besins are the only manufacturer- hence the shortage!

So pleased you got everything else resolved :)

No, the Utrogestan didn’t get stuck at all
(Maybe I had to partially elevate the plunger?)
I can update when my next prescription (finally) arrives - 3 weeks and waiting. 😊
