On Everol Sequi and have a Mirena

I realise this isn't supposed to happen, but through chopping and changing HRT combos the last 6 months in experimentation to find what works (and going back onto Sequi patches out of sheer desperation in Feb when everything else failed) I've ended up with both Sequi patches AND a Mirena.

The sequi patches have been the only thing to control my symptoms out of the following combo's; progesterone tablet and oestrogen gel, progesterone tablet and conti patch, mirena and oestrogen gel, Mirena and conti patch.

When I had the mirena inserted last December my MH took a severe nosedive to the point of suicidal and intrusive thoughts. I also abruptly came off the Sequi patches at the same time I had the mirena inserted, in order to swap to the oestrogen gel, so this nosedive in mood could be attributed to the change of everything at once, but I'm unsure.

I have been back on the Sequi patches for 3 and a bit months now and do feel back to normal mood wise and all other symptoms are back under control.

I have an appointment to remove the coil on Weds due to having both. I've had no input from a GP on this, I've made the appointment for a removal at the local SH clinic as our GP don't offer this service.
I'm feeling a bit reluctant to have the removal as my mood has restabilised and the mirena has stopped my bleeding from very heavy monthly to zero and I do need contraception.

I realise I don't "need" both Sequi AND the mirena, but is there a health reason to not have both, if I feel ok and am getting the benefits of both, in terms of patch for the hrt and coil for birth and bleed control?

Sorry for long post but wanted to be as clear as possible and getting a gp appointment before Weds is an impossibility. TIA.

Sorry you've had such a tough time. Have you tried the Mirena plus estrogen patches? If you've stabilised on the Mirena and it's controlling your bleeding, it seems a shame to remove it.
My MH crashed when I was on Oestrogel but I'm feeling good on Mirena plus Estrodot 100 patches.
Could you ask to try estrogen patches before having the coil removed?

Hi thanks for replying - yes I've tried that combo you suggested, the continuous patches are oestrogen only.

The problem I have is that I have a very strange physical symptom of constant tingling/pins and needles sensation that only seems to improve with the progesterone patch, that cannot be attributable to anything else (I've been tested for everything under the sun over the last few years and had a few deficiencies corrected which could have been causing it, but evidently weren't).
When I came off the sequi patches this symptom is 100 times worse, and no other combo of HRT made any difference to it, so under no circumstances am I coming off the sequi again because it's honestly like torture.
