Testogel- when/ how to apply and other musings

I have been prescribed testogel 40.5mg in a sachet (via a meno clinic) so each sachet to last 8 days so apply a blob / pea amount every day- very scientific. There was no instruction leaflet with the gel. I have a couple of questions-
-Where on my body should I apply it? On googling it appears other women are applying to tummy/ arms/ shoulders/ inner & outer thighs.. so anywhere goes?
-What time of day should apply it?
-Does gel need to be kept in fridge?
-Would it be better if I squeezed gel sachet into a small pot so I can gauge how much to use each day?
-If you used testosterone/ testogel, roughy when did you start to feel some benefit?

How long is a piece of string I suppose.
All the blurb says around 3 months but I am hoping for earlier..
Thank you

My consultant suggested to apply behind the knee which works well for me.

I use a small sandwich bag clip to close it, no need to refrigerate. You don't need to measure it, you'll get used to the right size of blob after a sachet or two based on how soon you use it up!

Hard to say if it's the testosterone that is helping because I started estrogen and progesterone at the same time but I definitely feel better all round. I hope it helps you!!

Forgot to add, I do mine after I shower in the morning but I don't think it matters too much so long as it has a few hours on your skin before you shower etc.

I put mine on my wrist and rub the other wrist on it. Bit like you would with perfume. No need to use fingers then. For me the benefit was practically immediate, first or second day. It's amazing stuff!

I put mine on in the morning as it’s quite energising and when I put it on later in the day I had a bit of insomnia. AM application, I sleep really well.

I have Tostran 2%.

I usually rub it into my thigh last thing at night, every other day.

Lower leg - ie somewhere you are a bit hairy anyway. Wash your hands after use.

You can get it in a pump dispenser which is much less faff than sachets

Wasn't sure i felt the benefit straight away but changed up a lot of other HRT elements at the same time ie estradiol dosage, topical cream.

My Testogel has just arrived from Superdrug. Your wrist method seems a good idea - can I ask if it’s still working and are you getting hairy inner wrists?

Sorry!
Above message meant for @ninetieseyebrows

I have tostran, I now apply it twice a week to my bum cheek, started off applying to my stomach and became quite furry there! Thankfully a few zaps of my tria laser have removed this but just a warning 😁

Each sachet is 2.5g of Testogel needs to be divided by 8 so you should apply 0.3215g per dose - 5mg/day.
The sachet should kept in the fridge between uses.
Apply the same time each day, preferably in the morning to clean dry intact skin on the abdomen or both shoulders or both arms, half dose to each arm.
Hope that helps :-)

I put it on my stomach below my belly button. Been using it for 4 months.

No hair growth.

I didn't want it for the libido as I'm not particularly bothered either way, but it's definitely made me want to have sex more (if I could get a handle on the atrophy I definitely would).

However it gave me more energy almost immediately.

I keep it in my makeup bag with an Ikea food clip on the top. Use scissors to open or it sort of drags the glue out if you use your fingers to rip the packet.

Mine didn't come with instructions either and mine is a GP pharmacist in house. Took them a week to decide what to prescribe me!
