How do you get the sticky residue off thats left on your skin when you change the patch?

It won't come off in the shower however hard I scrub, so I end up scratching it off with a fingernail which is quite painful and leaves a big red mark.

Have you tried alcohol based hand sanitiser?

Baby oil, but don't try to put the patch on in the same place without showering!

I came on to ask the very same question! I look like I’ve had plasters stuck all over my bottom!

Google medical adhesive remover, you'll be able to get it on Amazon etc.

Any oil should do it - olive oil, coconut oil. I use Bio Oil but only because I had some anyway. I have seen some advice to use the residual stickiness of the old patch to lift it off but that's never worked for me.

Baby oil didn’t work for me, perhaps I am doing it wrong?
I rub the old patch over the sticky bits but I have to rub for quite a while and pretty furiously at it and do make a red mark.

Rosesbloomingnow · 04/05/2023 18:24

put a blob of body moisturiser on it, rub with dry towel, it will just rub off

TheProvincialLady · 04/05/2023 18:37

I use oil based eye makeup remover on a cotton wool pad but baby oil also works, perhaps not quite as quickly.

Surgical white spirit from a chemist works a treat. You only need a small amount. However, I use Tegaderm clear film dressing over the patches. it prevents the marks in the first place, adds an extra waterproof layer & stops any fluff going under the edge of the patch & holds it in place better. Can bulk buy on Amazon. x
