Testosterone

I am on HRT (Evorel patches + Utrogestan tablets) and few months ago I went on testosterone for low libido. The testosterone has been inconsistently available, so I've gone without it for weeks and weeks, and now the sachets contain less than they used to. I apply a pea size a day but in all honestly, I am awful at remembering and quite often I won't do it at all. I was surprised to hear in today's catch up call with the GP that my testosterone has gone from 1.4 to 1.6 which she considers to be too high.

It's made no difference to my libido.

The GP has said to keep going for now and we'll review in 3 months.

I am genuinely puzzled that my testosterone is higher. Are there any potential adverse effects to this, and when, in your experience, should I notice an increase in libido?

I have Tostran 2% gel. But I only apply it every other day (if I remember).

I’ve never had my testosterone level checked, but I did notice a marked improvement in libido, ability to orgasm quickly like before, and focus with about a month.
