Bleeding 7 months after last period?

Hello there I’m 52 and well in the throes of menopause. I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience of periods stopping completely for 7 months then returning? My last period was October and have had nothing since, until today when there has been some v light bleeding. Does this sound normal? I am a worrier by nature! Thanks

Mine have been intermittent for about 4 years (I'm 55). I got to 9 months at one stage and thought 'finally' and then got another and then one the next month. It seems to be going in for ever. I think you need to be period free for a year to say you've definitely finished, and then if you have more bleeding it needs checking.

Thanks for replying, that's reassuring. I'm sorry it's been such a long process for you. I thought I was done too but it seems not!

I'm 52 and, after they'd reduced in frequency, I got to 321 days since my last period when I came on last month. A full blown heavy period which lasted longer than they used to when I had regular periods. 🙃My boobs still haven't recovered, so no idea where I'm at now...
