Practical tips for taking HRT

I was prescribed HRT about 10 days ago and the GP recommended I wait until 1st month to start so that I always took progesterone on days 1 - 14 of the month.
So, tomorrow is the day. Two pumps of oestrogen which I plan on rubbing into my thighs each evening whilst I take my make up off etc.
Any tips on when to take the progesterone? The instruction says an hour before food and two hours after food. I think my options are to take it as soon as I wake up and delay having breakfast, have it mid morning at work or have it just before I go to bed. Any suggestions for which is preferable?

Do not take it during the day as one side effect is dizziness. The instructions in the pack say take at bedtime.

The 'on an empty stomach' is also not necessary. (I've been on it for years, with a consultant.)

Taking it with food increases its efficacy but in some women it may increase some side effects.

In reality most people will probably finish eating by 8pm and go to bed around 10pm or later, so that is 2 hours after eating.

The Progesterone has a sedative effect so take before bed.

This is interesting. I got the impression from the GP that I took them at different times. I'd prefer to take them at a similar time as I'm more likely to remember it!

I take my progesterone tablets just before I sleep. I think my instructions are an hour before OR two hours after food so that time suits me best.

The Utrogestan completely knocks me out, more so than any sleeping pill, so definitely worth taking at bedtime. I’m an insomniac so very happy with this side effect!

Oestrogel just before getting dressed for the day. By the time you’ve put deodorant on and face cream afterwards it will be dry. Utrogestan before bed, I literally leave it on my bedside table.
