Feeling like I've turned a corner

I'm 43 and in peri. Lots of symptoms but the biggest impacting has been lack of sleep - on some weeks dep on where in my cycle I was, I'd average 2-3 hours of broken sleep a night. Naturally that was making me feel like I was wading through treacle every day. Work was effected, tempers frayed...etc.

I started on HRT gel in Dec, initially on 2 pumps but gradually that's been increased and 4 weeks ago I started on 4 pumps a day.

This week has been the first week in 2 years where I've slept all night, every night 😲

The difference is incredible. I feel so much more alert, more aware. I'm not weepy, I have energy, I'm not as forgetful.

I know it's early days but just wanted to share because I struggled on for so long, not wanting to 'give in' and accept that I'm 'old enough' for menopause.

(Meanwhile, if anyone has seen my libido anywhere, it'd be great to have that returned please...) Although TBH I'm happier with sleep than sex anyway 😂
