Fibroids/ Anemia/ Ablation

I had an endometrial
ablation (Novasure) along with a hysterscopic fibroid removal (Myosure) 9 weeks ago for insanely heavy periods which resulted in anemia (ferritin levels of 6).I have had three periods since- much lighter but really just normal now. The result is certainly not the the next-to-nothing that some women report afterwards. I can get away with one pad a day if I had to compared to upwards of 50 per period previously. My periods are still, however, dragging on to 7 days long. Still some clots, but nothing like before.
The surgeon did mention that they shaved the fibroid down which will help but it is still “there”. He did say I would still have some degree of a period. I was hoping it would have been more significant. I suspect that when they went in for the fibroid (which was 4.5cm) 6 months earlier it had possibly grown to a size that would have been more suitable to remove laparoscopically so they had to just shave instead of full removal. All biopsies came back clear.
Has anyone who has had similar procedures seen improvements in subsequent periods a few months down the line?
Also, does anyone know how long it takes to see iron levels start to increase after this?

@njshep hey, sorry to bother you. I’m due to have Myosure tomorrow to remove a polyp. Lots of online sites I’ve read have made me very nervous about the level of pain. How bad is it?

Hi!
I had zero pain…. Like, nothing! I had a general anesthetic, was out for about 30 minutes abs it was fine.
I also had an ablation at the same time. I never even had to take any pain meds. It was super easy.DM me if you have any questions s afterwards…. Good luck!
