I feel permanently exhausted & at three o clock in the afternoon I can hardly keep my eyes open then can’t sleep at night aarrgh!
Cant work out if I need to increase my HRT (evorel 75) or if it’s the weather here (Ireland so near constant greyness)
Feel like the exhaustion is going to be the death of me
For reference I’m 51 & reasonably healthy (exercise 3 times a week, occasional wine & don’t smoke)

Magnesium supplements. I was exactly the same and they changed my life. Far more energy and I don't get that 3pm slump any more

Justcallmebebes · 05/04/2023 17:48

They also improve my sleep massively

Mooserp · 05/04/2023 17:50

I struggle with this too.

What type of Magnesium supplements do you take?

NotAnotherTaco · 05/04/2023 17:54

No advice sorry, but here in solidarity!

I had around 3 hours of broken sleep last night, before a full on day of meetings and intense work. On average, I'm getting max 4/5 hours a night, but never in a solid block, always in fits & starts.

I've just (yesterday) increased from 3 to 4 pumps a day and I'm really hoping this will help crack it.

I'm constantly exhausted, I look & feel a wreck 😭

Is there a strength /doseyou need or is it just a supplement? Sorry to hijack I'm in the same boat only a bit older than you I'm bloody knackered.

Just bog standard 375mg tablets you can buy in the supermarket. They take a few days to kick in but once they do, they really work

ApolloandDaphne · 05/04/2023 18:29

My GP told me that magnesium tablets are useless and that eating a small amount of dark chocolate daily is a much better source. I take them anyway plus a B vitamin complex and Vitamin D.

SoLongFurlough · 05/04/2023 19:56

I have started with magnesium glycinate but I’m still waiting for it to kick in
