Has anyone else had a polyp removed? Just wondering what your symptoms were before and if all was fine after?

I am on continuous HRT (Evorel 100 patches) and Utrogestan (100mg daily) and was seen in Gynae yesterday for unexplained bleeding. The doctor said she thought I should be on 200mg Utrogestan.

The doctor said she thinks it is a polyp from the scan and did a biopsy (eeek) She has booked me in to have the polyp removed and suggested that I might want to have a Mirena coil fitted at the same time.

I am interested to hear any experiences thoughts please. I am 58, and have been on HRT for time.

I had polyps removed under GA last month. I'm 52, on hrt. No way o earth id have agreed to a coil though. I'm not in the uk, think it was pushed on me about two years ago, I said no way. So I was on aback to back progesterone only pill for two years periods stopped thankfully, although I did get one when I went on hrt.

I dont understand why having a polyp requires you to have a coil?? Have they explained that.
