Peri - headaches

Think I'm starting to get hormonal headaches - 47, presume I'm in peri?I'm not having any other problems at the moment so don't think there's a need to seek HRT. The headaches don't feel like stress, or computer use, but they come and go. They are mild but painkillers don't make a difference.

Does anyone have suggestions for what might help? Thanks.

Sumatriptan- that's what GP prescribed me for these headaches although mine are more migraines, lbut the usual pain killers do not work. Generally my headache lasts two to three days otherwise and are very debilitating.
Speak to your GP or you could try soluble aspirin, I've had some relief with those when they were milder.
Mine started at around age 49.

I started getting headaches that lasted 2-3 days in a row at 48/49. I'm peri. Turns out I have high blood pressure. I'm on lowest dose of bp meds 2mg and since taking meds I no longer have the headaches, so must have been bp all along

I had headaches that nothing over the counter would shift for a few years. Finally in the menopause and they've gone away - hopefully for good. Never realised until recently there may have been a connection, but honestly can't work out what else it was

Thank you all.

my normal BP is low but I think it's super labile - so in stressful situations it goes up a lot.

But mostly when I think it might have risen, I check it and it hasn't.

I was hoping there'd be a herbal remedy I could try.

Headaches for me too. For 5 long years with the odd migraine thrown in too. Just joyous ! Back and forth to the doctor's . Eventually got told I have high BP. On Lisinopril (maybe spelt wrong) 10mg daily which keeps BP down and is ok for migraine prevention. Still not sure if the doctor helped cause the high BP as I was literally taking ibuprofen 3 times a day, for 3 or 4 days at a time or Sudafed as suggested by the doctor and these drugs are known to raise up BP. Paracetamol was doing nothing for them.

My headaches are gone but I'm also on HRT now.
