Please help ladies. I have had PMD for a long time and I finally gave into the idea of some help to feel less horrid for the 2 weeks before my period. I am taking HRT which has been amazing in getting rid of anxiety and heart palpitations the first two weeks of my cycle however once I have ovulated I turn into a different person. I become paranoid, anxious , flat, demotivated and sad. My new partner said ge can see the difference 100%.

So I took fluoxetine for 4 days....started to feel a bit better then boom.....goodbye sex drive, goodbye any form of arousal or pleasure. I know this is probably the least of my worries but I am in a very new relationship and so worried about it I stopped it after 4 days. Does anyone have an experience with this drug ....I really need to take it and am wondering that if I persevere maybe one its settled in my system the pleasure and normal feelings will return ? Or would Citalopram be a better option ?

Thanks in advance xx

Fluoxetine did that to me. Sertraline was fine though, and also helped with peri symptoms.
