Hi,

I have a spinal condition which Colchester General Hospital boasted only happened to 50 plusesrs! I should have fought back at aged 10 being diagnosed with under active thyroid at 10 and going through periods not discussed until 13 but hey I didn’t complain took the levothyroxine needed. Perhaps I should have done stating well under active thyroid only should come on on mid life of a woman but I didn’t.

I’m sorry I find myself at 41 having this ‘elderly condition’ and Missing my periods I really do.

now I get you doctors don’t want to diagnose peri menopause but don’t you think you ought to put me out of my misery.

2 years ago I’m sure a flourish home menopause test with it’s dodgy reviews came back positive so why do I have to wait until I’m 45. Let’s not kid ourselves a moment longer, no periods or periods late lasting 1 day are not normal.

At a smear test just a week ago my period frequency were noted where I learnt you basically can self-diagnose peri menopause..lovely

Davina McCall I do not understand. Our gp’s are not to help those under 45. I only think your purpose is to help the rich but in good job people get their hands on hrt and learn only they are menopausal.

I cannot understand Davina why I have to wait 4 more years, and why you’ve bothered with the whole menopause awareness.

I would be grateful to learn where my menopause can be tested in private if it came to it.

I use Dr Olivia Hum she visits various Nuffield Hospitals I think I got her from Davina's book.

Oh right thank you I tried to get a scan of numb stomach booked in one of those Cambridge hospitals and even that came back as gp referral needed. I don’t know what to do. All these tv programme dramas you see women being told young I do not get it. There is no way that anyone should have to hear in absolute years time …oh by the way.

A friend of 18 months younger thinks she is going through the change which really prompted my parents to listen. But we’re in different county doctors surgeries.

I just cannot believe someone is left in limbo to self diagnose for 4 years. There is just the complete worry my insides are older then the outsides.
