Endometrial ablation experience?

I had an endometrial ablation along with a myomectomy (fibroid removal) a little over a month ago. I had one lighter period a few days after the procedureI just started my second period which is also lighter than what I previously was experiencing (think crime scene), but I’m still surprised that it’s just a “normal” period as opppsed to what many women experience which is no periods at all.
for anyone with this experience, did it get progressively lighter with time?
I’ve also got worse cramping associated with my period which I did not have before.
is it possible the body is still sloughing off the destroyed tissue?

I’m not saying this will happen in your case, but I had two ablations. First one, I was period free for a couple of months, then lighter periods before they resumed to how they were before. Ended up having a second ablation with much lighter periods but the worst, debilitating cramps and pain. They were horrendous and not like period pain at all. Ended up having a hysterectomy and haven’t regretted that. Wished I’d gone straight for that option tbh. Hope your pain eases and doesn’t get worse.

Thanks fir this. Hoping it’s not the case. I find it strange you can get your lining destroyed and still continue to have periods at all!

Had my ablation 7 years ago now. First six months periods were getting lighter and lighter until they were hardly anything at all. And they've stated that way. Wonderful

I had an ablation 15 years ago and the first couple of periods were very light. After that they were normal periods but no clots or soaked nightwear or bedding. I'm Peri now and my periods very short 2-3 days and one day bleeding the other couple hardly anything. I do wish I had gone back again. I have endometriosis and was informed after I had the ablation I shouldn't have had it, no specific reasons given just that it could have made the endo worse. X

Good evening,

I had a ablation 2 years ago, all my periods stops and it has been great, but all of a sudden about 2 months ago I started having small bleeds and I am getting g some pelvic pain, I am also getting some bloody discharge. Does anyone know if this is the ablation failure.

Many thanks 😊
