I'm 55, on Estrogel and Utrogestan continuously, last had a period about 10 months ago but today had some reddish brown spotting.

I know if you have any bleeding after a year you should definitely talk to your GP...how about 10 months?

I was still having some irregular bleeding until I changed to Utrogestan from Provera and from then on didn't have another bleed till now.

I haven't missed any pills but I have had a very stressful couple of weeks, could that be anything to do with it?

Did your dr explain how continuous hrt works?
In the first 6 months, odd bleeding is to be expected.

If it's more than that, you need to talk to your dr.
First paragraph here explains it all.

@JinglingSpringbells sorry to summon you but you are soooo helpful with this kind of stuff 😊

Just got off the phone with my GP re the bleeding.

She wants me to stop taking HRT for the next 6 weeks to see if any further bleeding occurs (I told her it lasted about a week).

My reaction is 😱😱😱😱😱

Of course I will if that's what I need to do but I am very very reluctant to.
Is there anything I can do to make this less awful for myself?
Is stopping suddenly really a good idea?
