Early menopause HRT

I started the menopause around 37 and HRT before I was 40. I'm now 45 and continue on Kliofem but heard recently that for those with early menopause topical HRT/gel is recommended. Has anyone had any information on this? I want to be able to go to my GP knowing what to ask for.

Where did you hear that?

Many women are using gel and micronised progesterone, but not necessarily linked to early menopause. Women under 60 can still use tablet form as you are.

There is a trend towards using transdermal HRT to avoid the slight risk of blood clots, but this apples more to older women.

It was actually on Radio 2 this week, they had a segment on early menopause. I think I'll try and re-listen online.
