Is my HRT causing night sweats?

I am 43, started HRT about 3 months ago. Before I started, I got night sweats only sporadically but no more than once a month the day before my period.

Now I get night sweats for 2 or 3 nights before my period. I’m sure it’s because of my HRT!

I’m taking oestrogel and Utrogestan.

Is there anything I can do about it? I thought HRT was supposed to wipe out night sweats, not cause them?

But can my diet / supplements / etc help? They’re really unpleasant!

Being hotter before a period can be quite common. I used to get those in my 30s, decades before menopause.

You could try increasing the gel a little - maybe half a pump?

You mention your period- presumably this is the withdrawal bleed on HRT?
Progesterone can cause a rise in body temp, so again, I'd try increasing the gel for a few days (some women say they find this helps.)

I came here for this. I increased my oestrogel yesterday as feeling really flat, fatigued, no motivation, in hopes that this will lift. I didnt really get sweats but started flushing through the night. Something that i haven't dealt with for a while.. Im post meno, on continuous utrogestan & oestrogel.

I got them more frequently too. So I've been back to GP and increased my patch from 50 to 75. Fingers crossed.
