Having the heaviest bleed after utrogestan

New to taking HRT, started it last month, 2 pumps of gel and utrogestan for 12 days

I came to the end of my utrogestan and on my last day of taking it, a period started. Well, a withdrawal bleed I think they call it

My periods have recently gone a bit weird and have been very heavy for a few years so this is my first bleed since January.

I think because id been led to believe it was a 'withdrawal bleed' I thought it would be light. Wrong!

It's very heavy. And I've got used to heavy periods! Its worse than that

Started Saturday morning and I've gone through 35 pads since then. 35! No sign of it clotting yet either - just a very heavy flow and I'm changing over 10 times a day.

So my question is - is this normal? Is it because my womb lining has really built up or something?

Would appreciate any thoughts

It seems very heavy compared to my experience. I'd see if you can get advice from your gp / 111 if it's that heavy and going on that long.

Hi op, how are you doing now? Hopefully much better.

I'm interested in your post because a similar thing happened to me except I was wearing a patch. Very heavy period (but with clotting). I keep thinking I didn't take it correctly. I want to try HRT again but have reservations due to what happened previously.
