HRT & Cerazette

I am just about to start HRT (age 43), and I am trying the combined patches for a few months. My GP said to stop taking the Cerazette. Afterwards I wondered why ? I shall probably call back and ask but I've tried looking online and different places say different things.

Anyone here use HRT and Cerazette at the same time? It's my only form of contraception right now.

I am 41, nearly 42 and started HRT on 17 March. I have been told to continue taking Cerazette as contraception. So I take Cerazette every evening, Oestrogel every morning and Utrogestan day 15 to 26 of a 28 day cycle at bed time.

Yes I use 2 x Cerazette per day as the progesterone component of HRT and I am on Evorel 50 patches as the oestrogen component. But when I first started HRT I was on combined patches and single Cerazette per day.

I think your GP may have made a mistake and it's also a bit weird of a GP to stop your contraception without suggesting other contraception unless you told them you weren't sexually active.

Yes I'm on cerezette and then oestrogel and progesterone tabs. Take all together in evening all month, have for 6 months.
