Hi Ladies.

I'm 44 / 45 next month.

Been on HRT for 3 months now - 3 pumps of Estrogel and 12 days of Utrogestan.

I have just had blood tests for my testosterone, hoping it's the missing link.

I am still having periods monthly, but in the last 2 years I was struggling with really bad insomnia, panick attacks, hot flushes, tinitus, really sore hips, thinning hair... the list goes on. The doctor put me on Sertraline, which did help with most of the symptoms, i am now weening off the Sertraline since i have started HRT, but i am still struggling with staying asleep during the night, where as when i was taking a higher dose of Sertraline, i slept soundly. I am down to 25mg of Setraline now.

I guess what i would like to know is, does anyone have a similar experience and will adding testosterone help with the sleep issues, I would love to sleep through the night, i'm averaging 6.5hrs a night which is ok, but would love to know if this is just how it goes for us middle aged women or if it will get better with time.

I also take magnesium and ashwanga before going to bed.

The HRT has definitely given me my umph back, but the dosage is all very confusing, maybe i'm having too much Oestrogen, maybe not enough....

Any experiences on this i would be super grateful please ladies.

Thanks.
