Higher cholesterol in menopause

Hi has anyone noticed that their cholesterol levels have gone up in menopause?
I'm eating less fat than ever, exercise & it's still going up!

I have started taking a statin, a low dose (10mg). I feel relieved not to have to worry about it any longer.
