Been struggling for about 3 months. Sleep from 11pm-1am, awake until 2ish, sleep until 4ish, then don't sleep again. I'm getting around 4 hours of broken sleep every night and am shattered! Can anyone recommend any over the counter remedies that I can buy tomorrow? I've been looking at Menopace.

Consider HRT? You can buy melatonin online too.

JP Dream Sleep is the answer. Marvellous stuff! I get mine online from Dolphin Fitness:

I'm similar, it's debilitating. HRT didn't work for me. It's like torture.

Ashwagandha helps me to sleep through the night. For me it's amazing as I've always struggled with slee.p

The following works for me, as a combination;
Sleep hygiene - no screen after say 6pm
Walk at a reasonable-fast pace for an hour each day
Supplements at bedtime - magnesium and one nytol
No caffeine after lunchtime (I find this hard and often cheat much to my own peril)
Avoid refined sugar (ditto)
HRT - I have gel and utrogestan and it's the latter part of the regime that gives me the better sleep
Start going to bed/sleep much earlier - aim for asleep by 10pm latest. Sleep at 8pm if your body is telling you to do so.

I don't sleep loads more but the quality is clearly better. I sleep from about 9.30pm through to about 4pm. I'm then awake for a while but I just lay there and eventually do some dozing until I get up and the dozing really helps. If mood is low and thoughts are dark I prefer to get up and drink tea/do yoga.

HRT sorted this for me too. Progesterone coil and oestrogen gel.

HRT has really helped with my sleep. I saw the improvement really quickly after starting, about 7 days in.

Melatonin is helping me with sleep - and seems to have minimised hot flashes too (which were getting to be a right PITA).
