Hrt causing night sweats?

I’ve just started on HRT. I did my progesterone 14 days, now I’m 3 days into my second cycle of oestrogel. I am night sweats every night since finishing the progesterone!

I didn’t get night sweats often before.

Does this mean maybe I wasn’t peri? And the HRT isn’t working because it wasn’t right for me yet?

It could be that you aren’t getting enough eostrogen. I expect you are on two pumps per day, which is the lowest dose. I had to go up to 4 for it to work.
I didn’t go back to the GP, I just gradually increased the dose myself. You could try 3 pumps and see if things improve. I can’t remember how long it took to work, but I think it was a couple of weeks.

I was only on one! (What the doctor told me for the first month.) For the last two days, I’ve been using two: one in the morning and one at night.

The night sweats are new, I didn’t get them before HRT (much anyway), and so is the night-waking and inability to get back to sleep - making me wonder if I’ve given myself more of an imbalance that I actually had before I started HRT?!
