Vanity question- hrt gel plus body moisturiser

Is there a way to combine the 2?!
I have yucky dry skin and in the summer especially when my arms are out I like to use decent body lotion.
I'm on oestrogel which says on the packet to apply to upper/outer arms, but online it says you can also put it on your thighs.
I've been putting it on my thighs but have been worrying that this is wrong...but vanity wants me to be able to continue to use lotion on my arms! This is probably a ridiculous question but once I've applied the gel could I then apply the lotion?
Does the gel affect your skin tone/quality in any way?

I use Oestrogel, and the patient info leaked in my packages says to apply it to thighs, shoulders or upper arms. I apply it to thighs and buttock. Seems to work fine. I think the essential is to apply it to an area with fat, and not near breasts and genitals.

I wonder whether it has some skin conditioner in the formulation. I'm sure it must contain alcohol, yet I find that it does not dry my skin.

After applying the Oestrogel you must leave at least 1h before applying anything else to that area of skin. What I end up doing is applying oestrogel to clean skin after my morning shower, and any lotions to that area at bedtime.

I’ve been told recently by an hrt specialist to apply to inner thighs, using the inside of your forearms (hope you’re dexterous!) because using your hands to apply and washing them after is wasting product and won’t get the full dose. One pump should cover the area of an A4 sheet of paper, 2 pumps should cover 2 x A4 and so on.

So you could still apply moisturiser to the fronts of your arms and lower legs, outer thighs?

Or apply gel at night and moisturiser in the morning?

Thank you! Wow that's a big area.
And yes I do feel I loose a lot when I wash my hands.
Glad that thighs are OK to apply it to.
It's not as straightforward as it sounds is it?!

I use only one hand to apply, and when I'm done I wipe it onto an 'unused' part of my body, usually the opposite shoulder, so a as to waste as little as possible.

I apply with the lid
