Can I (temporarily) double up on patches?

I'm on the Conti 50 and all has been great for 6 months but I imagine my oestrogen levels have dropped again. I ache all over and cannot sleep again.
Getting a GP appointment is a slow process. I'm going to try just requesting my prescription is increased in the meantime but is there any reason I can't double up while I wait?

It’s fine.
I was experimenting with mine (leaving old one on so I was wearing 2, cutting one in half so I was wearing 1.5) when I DP finally spoke to the nurse that does HRT reviews she said it’s fine and that in training they are told you can cut patches to add to dose.
She doubled my dose and told me to just wear 2 of my current patches until I used the old supply up and picked up my prescription.

Oh that's an excellent idea Loud. Thank you. I will do that while I get the prescription sorted. Smile
