Peri/menopause, but no periods for years!

I've had an implant for around 15years and have had only 1 period in that time, never any spotting.

I'm now nearly 47 and feel that I'm definitely either peri or further through - but so much of what I read is based on whether your periods have changed or stopped. I'm finding it difficult to know what I can try before hrt as I don't know if the GP will agree to prescribe.

I'm going to make an appt with the GP this week as the symptoms are starting to get on top of me; so much facial hair (what the actual fuck), brain fog, loss of concentration/motivation, dreadful sleep and my mood has taken a bit of a dive.
Anyone else in the same boat?

My periods hadn't changed much at all when I was having very clear symptoms including hot flushes, so your other symptoms will be enough. At your age it's assumed you're in Peri so a trial of hrt or simply starting it is perfectly reasonable.

I use the Philips Lumea Prestige to combat facial hair.... It works!

So that's a massive relief!
