If you’re having symptoms you try HRT to see if it helps.

My friend in a similar position (mirena coil, no periods) just started HRT in her late 40s when she felt her perimenopause symptoms were getting too much.

I'm older, still having periods at 55 which have become problematic. I started HRT six months ago and had a mirena coil fitted recently to sort my wretched periods out. Only real peri symptom is brain fog/inability to concentrate.

I think you just know from your symptoms. If you're tired, angry, sleeping badly, it could just be life/stress but it could well be peri. You could ask your GP if you could try some estrogen patches (starting with a low dose) to see if your mood/sleep improves.
