I'm 46. Spoke to GP about perimenopause. They have asked me for blood tests during my period . Says more accurate then. Is this usual?

Practically it might be tricky as they have few appts for blood tests. Maybe if I book in advance it might work out.

NICE said in 2015 (!) that blood tests are not to be done on women over 45, as part of diagnosing menopause. Your GP is very behind the times.
No need for tests . If you have symptoms that is how menopause is diagnosed.
