I am having a hysterscopic myomectomy (removal for a problematic 4cm fibroid)and uterine ablation done this week.
For anyone who has had this dual procedure, what was your recovery time?

Are you having a GA?

What's your consultant suggested?

You will need the usual advice after a GA ( ie adult with you for 24 hours).

After that, I think you'd be advised to take it easy for a couple of days and then pretty much back to normal.

I've had the ablation but not the fibroid removal as well.

My recovery from the ablation was really easy. I was tired for a couple of days and fell asleep randomly. That was all the GA.

I became quite bloated the day after. I looked about 6 months pregnant (ironic really lol) I could also feel a bit uncomfortable inside but it wasn't painful at all. I felt like my insides had been burned off lol.

I was back in the gym 10 days later but had to scale back my work out for a little while.

Amazing procedure though. It's changed my life.

Last year I had a myosure (large polyp removal) and Novasure at the same time. I had it under a local (that was my request!). The procedure took about 45 minutes and I was home within an hour or so. I was back to normal within a day or two. I found the procedure relatively painless but was in a lot of pain that evening but by the next day all pain had subsided.
