Does my Evorel 50 dose need to increase?

I recently had an HRT review and was hoping to find out if my Evorel 50 patch dose needs increasing. Still none the wiser though! I’ve had a couple of light flushes, feelings of anxiety creeping back, less energy and increased appetite.

I’m just wondering when it is best to ask for a dose increase. Is it safer to put up with mild symptoms and wait until I’m struggling again? Also when Evorel is increased, does the Utrogestan dose change? Thanks

I don't know about the utrogestan bit but I've increased my estrogen dose before because, like you, I noticed symptoms creeping back. I just told GP I wanted to increase the dose because symptoms were returning and she gave me a new prescription.

Utrogestan doesn't normally increase with an increase in estrogen.

As I was still having periods when I started HRT, I found that as my own estrogen production was diminishing the closer I got to menopause, I needed my dose increased.

Thanks for your replies. I’ll do a bit more research before talking to the GP. I just wondered what a normal and safe amount of oestrogen is as a 55 year old post menopausal woman. Does anyone know what the smallest increase from 50 Evorel is? I think I probably need to ask to try that.
