Utrogestan

I'm on my 3rd cycle of HRT. Taking gel every day and utrogestan for 12 days per month. All pretty good so far and a definite improvement since I started.

Interested to know if anyone else finds their mood drops dramatically in the days when not taking the utrogestan?

I definitely sleep better and feel better when taking the utrogestan. I used to take it (1 tablet) every day as advised by a menopause specialist to even out my mood. I didn't notice a massive difference.

I've recently started to take 2 tablets for 12 days of my cycle only and I think I feel better during those 12 days. However I've also just upped my patch to 100 so it could be that 🤷‍♀️ I still have down days each month so who knows? I do know I like the improved sleep for part if yhe month though.

I was on a combined patch but bleeding so GP put me on oestrogen only patch and 1 x 100 Utrogestan every day; I was still spotting so increased to 2 x daily and then 3! Now my boobs hurt and I have dropped myself down to 2. They make me sleep wonderfully!!! I really don’t want the Mirena coil but I have seen threads taking Utrogestan internally - is this the same drug or a different preparation? I’m wonder weather a lower dose, but more targeted, might help?
