I am 55 and have just started HRT today. Oestrogel (2 pumps) and Utrogrstan 100mg two capsules. I last had a period in Sept so it will be cyclical. I wanted to start mainly for the night time hot flashes that started with a fury in mid November and are waking me every 2-3 hours each night.

Anyway, the nurse practitioner said it can take up to 3 months to really feel a difference. I'm after other people's experiences of how long it took to feel an improvement please 🙂

I'm on the same regime as you but just one Utrogestan daily, and I started seven months ago at 58.

I can honestly say I started feeling better almost immediately. Hope you do, too.

Thanks @DramaAlpaca That is encouraging. Smile

How are you doing now op? I have just started a similar regime to you.

I was sleeping better within about 10 days and do generally feel a lot better and wish I'd started taking it sooner. I am having weirdly vivid dreams on the 14 nights I have the Utrogestan so may change that to daily.

Hi - I’m a HRT newbie too - just started on Everol 50 patches and utrogestan. I’m 48 and my main issue is night sweats and insomnia. Slept better the last couple of nights but finding my stomach is very growly in the morning and I felt lightheaded yesterday. I actually felt better in myself straight away but maybe just the result if taking positive action rather than vacillating!
