Asking for menopause test

Hi,

Is there a criteria for having test for peri menopause - I’ve tried to raise it whilst being in hospital to do anything to help the mystery situation of complete numb tummy, along with missing December period and January’s (which co-incidend with not being usual.

I’m a mystery case but wish they would check me for menopause.

Do you have to miss so many periods before they can do anything.

Depends how old you are and what symptoms you have

No tests unless you are under 45.

And even then, they aren't always accurate- more to rule out other illnesses.

What would you do if you found you were in peri?
How would that help?

Ah ok I’m only 41.

I just thought it could be a help in missing periods. Though now they are arranging to take bloods to recheck the diabetes position.

They keep saying I’m a mystery (besides the neck find on MRI) and I’m feeling so bad. I also have under active thyroid (under control) but I accept this to can effect the periods.

From personal experience it was validation that the brain fog, low concentration, anxiety and generally swinging from wanting to kill someone to not giving a shit about anyone or anything, had a reason and I wasn't just going mad
