I'm 52 and have not had a period since last April. Suddenly turned up this weekend. I do think I ovulated a few weeks ago and had very uncomfortable breasts for a few days this week.

So it it just a last gasp or so I need to see the GP?

And now do I have to reset my "in the menopause" clock??

Yes you have to go 12 months without a period to become post menopausal. My periods stopped, annoyingly had a one off period after 9 months then after that last “one off” my periods thankfully never returned.

I hoping it's the same!

My periods were horrendous post kids until I had a fibroid embolisation so am hoping this one is manageable.
