Very early period

I’m wondering if this is a normal sort of thing near menopause. I’m 52 next week, haven’t really had any major peri-menopause symptoms apart from more tiredness and difficulty getting up in the morning than usual. But have started a period tonight which I’m pretty sure is only 12 days since the start of the last one, unless I’ve lost a week somewhere, but I don’t think so. Never had one this early before, could it be a menopausal thing?

Yes, a change to your cycle is very common in perimenopause. It certainly was for me.

Really common to not know if your cycle is 14 or 40 days

Yes totally a symptom.
I'm now 44. Started symptoms 3 yrs ago. Cycles ranging from 11 days to 81 days. Plus many other awful symptoms. Been on HRT 18 months. Still periods range but they're the least worst thing.

Thank you, I think I did actually lose a week there and it’s probably 19 days, but still a lot shorter a gap than usual. Will take note of it from now on. I actually can’t wait till it stops altogether, so over it now.
