Does anyone know if I can use Utrogestan on the 25/3 cycle if I'm peri?

Why do you want to?

The 25 days is a bit out-dated now because most women who are post meno are being advised to use it daily, so it corresponds to the other combined continuous regimes, in patches and tablets.

If you use it continuously, the risk is that the dose of 100mgs a day won't be enough to stop the lining growing, and you could end up with spotting or your own periods anyway. This is because in peri you will have more of your own natural estrogen than women using HRT. (The estrogen in hrt is never as much as own own.)

@JinglingSpringbells Thanks for replying 💐
I sleep when I take the Utro – and not so much when I don’t.
I’m peri, 45 and on 2 X pumps estrogel and 200mg Utro for 12 days
I felt good for the first few months of HRT and then started having symptoms again.
I went to the doctor and went on the mini pill for the first time in my life because I’m a bit desperate and wanted the progesterone. She said I could have Deso 75mcg and use that as the Prog part of my HRT. Everywhere says no I can’t but I queried it and she double confirmed.
I asked if I could still take the Utro and she said yes but just one tablet. I said ok but sequentially or continuously and she said she couldn’t give me a definitive answer.
This mini pill has given me boulder boobs and I don’t want to put up with it so I shall probably stop.

Probably just a return to the sequential HRT and lose the mini pill and see how I get on. I’ve heard I might need much more estrogel in order to suppress ovulation but I don’t understand it and therefore won’t be able to explain it to a GP even if it is the right thing.

I’m just a bit lost and want to know what to do next.

Symptoms mainly being periods of fatigue, insomnia, unrefreshing sleep, brain fog, dry and itchy skin, dry eyes, dry mouth.
Everything checked out at the beginning of this journey including tests and scans and ruling out auto immune issues etc.
Since HRT the bad eczema I've had for years has finally cleared up.
In the beginning the really bad periods were ALWAYS in the first half of my cycle and would lift like a fog around ovulation. Now more erratic.
Progesterone does wonders for me mentally.

I've started this and get a bleed every 14-18 days now and oh my boobs so sore! On plus side no headaches, period pains and I sleep every night.
