HRT plus magnesium?

I wonder if anyone can help on this. I've been on HRT for many years (Femosten conti) and very happy on it. I also take blood pressure tablets (Amlodipone). Is there any reason I should or shouldn't take a magnesium supplement too? My GP is useless so won't ask him. Thank you

Ooh I started magnesium a week ago, it didn't even occur to me to check! Watching with interest (I've been on HRT 5 weeks).

I read a book that recommended it (Lara Briden's Hormone Repair Manual - it's well worth a read) and started taking it because I thought it might help prevent my hormonal migraines. I've been on it for about 3 months but it hasn't made a difference to the migraines so far and I haven't noticed any other changes. I am on HRT as well.
