Peri menopause or something else?

Hi looking for some advice on my periods.
I'm 43 have had regular periods all my life with the exception of pregnancy and when breastfeeding.
I'm not on any birth control as had blood clots ( superficial) the day after my last 2 births so was told I can't have any hormonal birth control.
I had covid in August and ever since my periods have been super light and only lasting 2-3 days. I have the worst headache for the first 24-36 hours. This is not something I've ever suffered with before.
My period in December came on 22nd was all done and dusted by the 24th.
I've come on today and it's a horrific! It's really heavy with lots of little clots. I'm flooding every few hours and my head is banging. Painkillers aren't helping so far.
Is this normal for peri? Or is it possible it's related to Covid?
Has anyone else had this experience?

The evidence around seems to suggest Covid. Give it a few months and see how you go?

Thank you for replying. I have decided to track my period and see how things go. I've never had 2 periods so close together before and so different!

Totally agree. Covid does seem to affect periods so I would also give it a few more months and see how you are then..

Flooding is a well known peri menopause thing. Covid jabs have caused people the same. I had ridiculous periods for 12 months. Like it all cams at once
