Utrogeston 100mg

Rather frantic post menopausal lady here looking for help/advice. I’m down to my last box of Utrogeston 100mg as no chemist near me has any in stock and can’t give a date for when they’re expecting some. I must have tried ringing 20 chemists this week alone. Have any of you seen any updates on this or can you advise on alternative brand which you’ve had experience with with minimum side effects as my GP isn’t very helpful. My body doesn’t like change either, hence the anxiety at my end.

I’m also running low on Utrogestan and trying to get a prescription filled.

If you look at the Besins Healthcare website they mention a ‘temporary interruption to supply’ but say stocks are due into the country this week (beginning 2/1/23) and with wholesalers by next week. Hopefully that means we’ll soon be able to get hold of it again!

I really do hope so Marytherose 🤞🏻 It was bad enough last year with the oestrogel shortage. I just wish that we didn’t have to run the gauntlet with HRT supplies

My GP prescribed my provera last month as there was a shortage of uterogestan. I’m due to start it again on Monday and I’m already dreading it. My depression has shot up. I can hardly function. I thought I’d maybe come off all HRT and see how I go. Had no patch on for 48 hours and woke up soaking wet through last night. I just don’t know how I’m going to cope. My confidence is crushed, depression is bad and I’m exhausted.

Whereabouts in the country are you? I work on a pharmacy in Surrey and we have loads on stock.

Frightenendbunny I totally understand his your feeling and you have my deepest sympathy. I just can’t believe that there are constant shortages of various HRT products.

I went to the chemist today and they said their supplier had got it in stock so they will order it in for next week.
