HRT aside, what else can help ease peri- symptoms?

I'm sure I'm not the only one gearing up for a 2023 shakeup so thought it would be good to share all those things that have helped manage/alleviate peri-symptoms. I'm a couple of
months in with HRT and not noticing huge changes so will be going back for a reassessment soon but a bit of self-care is definitely long overdue.

So what changes have you made that have made a difference to the various symptoms?

I had to tweak the Hrt every 3 months at review; they also monitored thyroid levels as I'm on thyroxine and that was adjusted a little. Been on it for a year and only just starting to feel like I'm getting somewhere.

That aside a very strict sleep routine and lots of fresh air walks. I'd have exercised but that's all I could cope with till recently without being wiped for days. I'm now able to go to the gym and do some weights but need to increase that.

I did and do find magnesium good for joints and mag and taurine for sleep - don't need all the time but if does help.

Pacing and managing stress and overloading my life. I had to cut back on hours at work.

Balanced diet with loads of veg and nibbling on oat cakes and nuts when hungry. Allowing some treats; dark chocolate and a cuppa.
