anxiety and panic attack

So yesterday evening I had my first ever panic attack. Racing heart, hot and clammy, feeling I was dying. Lasted about 10 minutes. Just awful.

I switched my HRT from patches (which I was allergic to) onto the gel about 8 days ago. I am taking 4 pumps, 2 in the morning, 2 in the evening - coincidentally, I had applied gel about 10 minutes before the panic attack hit. Unsure whether to persevere with the gel or go back to the patches and deal with the itchy skin.

Still feeling tense this morning, knotty stomach and was awake several times in the night.

Urgh. merry menopausal christmas.

I would reduce the gel. I know people who feel wired and jittery if on too much oestrogel. You may be absorbing it better than patches so just go to 3 pumps or even 2 and see how you get on.

Although having said that it wouldn't have had that effect in 10 mins so perhaps coincidental?

I hope you have had a peaceful day
