Period before the end of 14 days of Utrogestan

Hello, I’m into my second month of 50 patches and 200mg of Utrogestan for 14 days. I start on the 1st of the month and carry on for 14 days. For the past two months my period has arrived on about day 10. It’s quite a heavy period but that’s quite normal.
Is this normal or should I only be getting my period after day 14 when I stop the progesterone?
I feel quite a lot better on the hrt, more outgoing, starting to feel less anxious and just brighter on the whole.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks x

Hi. I can't be of any help but I'm after the same answers. I am on month 3 or sequential HRT (I use Oestrogel 2 pumps daily and then two weeks of Utrogestan), however I am coming on my period before I've finished the Utrogestan (last month it was 4 days before i finished the Utrogestan tablets and this month it was about a day after starting to take Utrogestan!). My normal monthly cycle is short (about 21-23 days) so my theory is that my body is sticking to it's normal cycle and ignoring what the HRT is supposed to be doing. I also feel so much better on the HRT (anxiety has lifted hugely), but I've also developed stomach cramps, sore breast and heavier bleeding since being on the HRT. I am wondering if this will settle and whether I carry on taking my HRT as normal despite having my bleed while on the Ultrogestan tablets. My doctor doesn't seem to really know and is asking the gynecologist for advice but hasn't got back to me yet. I don't want to stop the HRT because it really helps me mentally, but these symptoms with the bleeding are bothersome.
I hope someone can advise us.

Thanks for the advice and reassurance.
Sounds like maybe we just have to give it time to settle down. My period is heavier than usual but they don’t last long. Also have sore boobs. Apart from that I’ve felt quite well. Less tired, more energy and motivation and just an all round more positive outlook. Still have anxious days mind you but I guess it’s still early days.

Oh I’m the same. First month my period arrived as it usually would and I was still taking the progesterone for a few more days. This is my second month of progesterone so not sure what to expect.
