Oversensitive nipples

I’m 50 and have been in perimenopause for at least 6 years, my periods are still regular but significantly shorter and lighter which is lovely as they were previously a week of flooding.

I now have a new symptom of ridiculously sensitive nipples but only in the week before my period is due.

I spent many years with terrible whole breast pain before my period and this is nothing like that at all, just the nipple area.

I’m hoping that this is another nail in the coffin for my periods! Can anyone relate?

Yes, me. Every month one nipple feels like it's got some sort of clamp on it. It is really painful.
