Hi everyone,
I started hrt 4 weeks ago and I have felt really nauseous and anxious all this week. Im on Evorel Sequi. Is this normal for starting hrt, how long will it last, is it worth staying on hrt. I feel so sick and anxious I want to stop it but have had some improvements in other symptoms. Advice greatly appreciated. Martha

It can be possible to get a kind of 'morning sickness' with estrogen. Usually the best way round this is to lower the dose. what re you on?

Also, if the type is oral, sometimes switching to patches can help.

(sorry without looking it up I'm not sur what Evorel is! I think it's a patch?)

Hi JinglingXmasBells,
Yes Evorel is a patch. Im on the 50 microgram patch. Im not sure if there is a lower dose. It does feel a bit like morning sickness and I suffered badly with it with both my kids. I usually manage to eat something in the evening. I guess I just want reassurance that it will end at some point!! 😉

There is also a 25 mcg patch. There are also other options like tablets or gel. I'd say give it another couple of weeks and if no improvement, back to GP.

Thanks HeraldicBlazoning,
Yes I will try and stick it out for a bit longer. Ive got a GP appointment on Monday so will talk to them then.
