Can HRT increase anxiety?

Been on gel pump for a week, I thought it may reduce anxiety?

Yes. It can take a bit of trial and error to find the right type and dose for you. My anxiety was out of control - racing pulse, sleepless nights - on gel but I'm great on patches. Maybe give it a bit of time to settle down and if it doesn't improve ask to try patches or spray?

Give it time. I definitely felt my anxiety ease after a couple of weeks. It can also take a bit of tweaking to get the dose right for you.

Thank god. I was coming on here to ask the same thing. I've been on a low dose patch for a couple of years and felt really calm and well, but had to change last week to a higher dose gel and I feel terrible (mostly anxiety and also ragey). I think I might ask to go back to patches.

@CBAMumma how much gel are you on?

The patch I was originally on was .25mg/day, but the gel is .75mg per pump so that seems like quite an increase. On .25 I have been very happy and chilled. On the gel I feel like I'm on edge and know I've blown my top a few times.

When I started on the low dose patch I felt better almost straight away, certainly within a week or so.

What dose are you on @mumdone

@CBAMumma 1pump of gel. Maybe I should do half
