I’m 45, regular periods and not on any birth control. Definitely not pregnant. Started a normal period 12 days ago, lasted 5 days as normal.
Yesterday and today I’ve had brownish and pinkish spotting. Very unusual for me. Very slight cramping but no other symptoms.
Had a pelvic CT scan and ultrasound for an unrelated issue (non specific abdominal pain which has since gone away) at the start of the year and all was fine. Due for a smear soon, all previous smears ok.
Could this be the start of peri? Is bleeding common between periods in peri? Quite anxious about it so would like to hear if others have had same - will call GP but probably won’t get an appointment for weeks! I have noticed my PMT has been horrific recently, so irritable and filled with rage for a couple of days before my period.
Anyway, maybe others have had similar?
